Scientific Anglers Absolute Bass Leaders are 8' tapered leaders meant for bass fishing with larger flies. Scientific Anglers uses a heavy, stiff butt section to help turn over bulky patterns, and rates the material as abrasion resistant for working around dense cover. Scientific Anglers also claims 29% higher wet knot strength, and 40% higher than competitors.
Across the break strengths we stock, butt diameter runs from 0.028” (0.71 mm) to 0.030” (0.76 mm) and tippet diameter from 0.008” (0.20 mm) to 0.013” (0.33 mm). Break strengths are 8.0 lb (3.6 kg), 10.0 lb (4.5 kg), 12.0 lb (5.4 kg), 16.0 lb (7.3 kg), and 20.0 lb (9.1 kg). Packaging is 100% recyclable and the materials are fully biodegradable.
